Perched high above the sity, both literally and metaphorically, HANU offers outstanding Korean cuisine at the rooftop of St. Regis Gardens. This new restaurant, crafted by Sunset Hospitality Group, seamlessly blends the aesthetics of Seoul with the vibrant rhythm of Dubai.

Each table is equipped with personal, Korean-made charcoal grills. The interior is adorned with dark wood, vintage furniture, and bronze doors, transporting you to another cultural realm. The menu primarily focuses on various meats but offers much more. It features a range of dishes from Korean tartare to crispy bulgogi, from kimchi to exquisite vegetarian options. All dishes are served Hansik-style, reminiscent of home-cooked meals but without the hassle.

Kyung Soo Moon

Chef Moon brings 20 years of experience from restaurants in Korea, Singapore, Australia, and Dubai. He has trained under Michelin-starred chefs and holds certifications as a sake sommelier and fugu fish master. At HANU, Chef Moon excels in creating an atmosphere where tradition meets innovation, and flavors carry deeper meanings beyond their initial taste.

Gerbou is a contemporary Arabic cuisine restaurant and educational project. The menu highlights the culinary traditions of the Emirates and reveals new aspects of the local culture. In 2025, the restaurant was honored with the Prix Versailles architecture prize.

After relocating to the UAE from Europe, Chef Catau dedicated a year to thoroughly studying Emirati culinary traditions. There was also significant fieldwork: for several months before the opening, the Gerbou team hosted dinners featuring a special tasting menu. Many of these dishes became popular favorites, and the restaurant continues to serve them.

Bait Maryam is a family-run Levantine restaurant designed to resemble a kitchen in a large family home. It features hand-painted dishware, knickknacks on the shelves, and brightly upholstered furniture. The kitchen relies on time-tested family recipes and the dishes can be served family-style. The restaurant has received the Bib Gourmand mention from the Michelin guide.

Sufret Maryam is decorated to resemble a cozy private villa, complete with a wood-fired stove and a large table in the middle of the living room. The menu specializes in Levantine cuisine, served in an atmosphere of Middle Eastern hospitality.

Salam Daqqaq

Chef Salam Daqqaq excels in organizing the surrounding space to create a truly homelike comfort. She has an array of family recipes and enjoys welcoming guests. Chef Daqqaq gives Leavntine cuisine a contemporary reimagining while preserving its authenticity and spirit. In 2023, Chef Salam was named The Best Female Chef by MENA’s 50 rating. That same year, Forbes magazine listed her as one of the 50 Most Influential Women Over 50.

Chef Cheung’s vision is rooted in his Chinese heritage, North American upbringing, and French education. He is an innovator committed to sustainable development principles and a tireless enthusiast who creates new projects and champions inclusivity in the restaurant industry. In 2024, Chef Cheung was honored as Chef of the Year by What’s On Dubai and Chef Patron of the Year by the Caterer Middle East publication. His recent accomplishments include preparing dinner for former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and NBA stars at the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s gala evening in Abu Dhabi.

Luca Rossi

Born in Italy’s Campania region, Chef Rossi began his career in Venice. He honed his skills at Casa Coste culinary school under renowned chef Domenico Longo. He spent nine years at the legendary Cipriani in Monte Carlo. Passionate about homemade pasta and bread, Rossi also applies the Henri Chenot method — based on 50 years of research into plant-based, low-calorie cuisine.

Solemann Haddad

The Franco-Syrian chef grew up in Dubai, and his 10-course tasting menu beautifully reflects the city’s multicultural soul. He calls his cuisine «Dubai cuisine» and strives to constantly surprise his guests — just like the city itself. Haddad has received two prestigious awards: Michelin Guide Young Chef of the Year and Gault & Millau Future Great.

The first Leña restaurant opened in Marbella, Spain, in 2020. In 2021, it was named the «Most Beautiful Restaurant in the World» by the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards. The Dubai location, in St. Regis Gardens, is known for its fire-grilled steaks. The design, with moody lighting and fire-inspired accents, reinforces the charcoal concept. Inside is the Smoked Room — a chef’s table with 14 seats and a tasting menu called Fire Omakase. Six months after opening, Smoked Room earned a Michelin star.

Dani Garcia

Born and raised in Andalusia, Garcia’s mission is to spread Spanish cuisine worldwide. He even closed his three-Michelin-starred restaurant in Andalusia to focus on international expansion. Known for his creative fusion of tradition and modern techniques, he is also committed to using local products.
